Hello Oyster-Adams Community!
 
Job Opening: OCC is in search of a dynamic, organized and enthusiastic Business Manager. The Business Manager is to manage the day-to-day operations of the organization. This is a part-time position only and pay is $20/hour. We are looking for someone who will cultivate a strong partnership with the school community and board. Will work closely with all standing and ad hoc committees of the Board.

Raffle: As you read in the Friday bulletin last week, the raffle was very successful. I want to thank Denise Senecal and Bev Paul for their hard work towards this great fundraiser. They started months ago working on the proper permits through the DC government. Both ladies and their crew of parents who collected and counted deserve a great big THANKS from the community. 

Parent Campaign: It is never too late to donate! But I also want to take this time to thank Anne-Marie Baristow and her group of volunteers for their diligent work in leading the effort. They never lost steam in getting the word out, making phone calls, collecting money and staying energized throughout the entire school year. So far they have raised $83,400 with 35% participating. We want to make sure the participating number along with the funds, continues to grow.     
 
OCC Community Meeting: Our final community meeting for the school year is May 26, 2010 at the Primary Campus cafeteria (Oyster) from 6-8PM. Interpreter will be available. We will present next year's budget. Childcare and pizza will also be available. I hope to see you there.
