Farewell to Oyster-Adams art teacher, Carole
Whelan: Our beloved art teacher, Carole Whelan, is
retiring after 34 years of extraordinary dedication. She has inspired
generations of children to express themselves and their learning through art
and, in fact, to see themselves as artists.
There will be a reception in
her honor onSunday, June 13th at the Josephine Butler Center at 2437 15th St.,
NW. We hope that you will drop by between 3 and 5pm to personally express
your gratitude for her incredible contributions to our school community.
Everyone is welcome, but please note that childcare will not be offered
and all children must be supervised directly by an adult.
